The first test was run without the help of the Armada.

Once the reference value was obtained, we installed the Armada and proceeded to run the test under the same conditions.

The temperature decrease was noticeable. To be honest, the moment we took out the Armada form the blister package and connected it, the air flow it moved didn’t make a big impression and we thought it wouldn’t do the job properly. In fact, we always exaggerate a bit on this matter, since we normaly have a silent 120mm fan blowing air on the memory modules. Now we know there is no point in having that, as we took advantage of the situation to measure temperatures in this way and found that the results were close to those obtained with the Armada.

The well-known law of yield decreasing was present in these tests. The Armada was good enough to improve the temperature even in overdriven contidions, and at the same time a much larger air flow didn’t attain a proportional improvement. Consequently, this reminded us that some times excessiveness does not produce noticeable benefits to our goals.

Another feature of the Armada is that each fan comes with three high-intensity cold blue LEDs, which together bring a quite intersting light source to the inside of the case.

The photos above were taken with the room lights off, so you can draw your own conclusions. The interior decoration of a PC case is quite personal, but we believe this adds an interesting touch that doesn’t go against the actual trends.

The LEDs come in blue only, so this could be a problem for those users who prefer other colors. But for those who prefer blue –as I think most of us do – this is another favourable point to this product.
