VIZO Technology Corp. is a leading global manufacturer and designer of computer products and peripherals, which also put emphasis on special effect products to make the PC look stylish and unique. The vision of this young company located in Taiwan is to make customers enjoy its high quality products all the time. To accomplish this, VIZO aims at continuous improvement and innovation, top notch design, firm development and quality-improving technology while committing to R&D and strict quality control.
The Armada Memory modules are one of the components that we usually demand the most. However, we seldom pay attention to their proper cooling, and in most cases everything is left to the heat sink that comes included, or we add one if none is provided. Any heat sink relies, among many things, on its dissipation surface area and the air flow on it. With the exception of some top brands’ latest products, there isn’t much to do about the problem on the dissipation surface area, since the heat sink’s dissipation surface area is quite limited -it is just slightly bigger than the dissipation surface area of the memory chips. As regards the air flow on the heat sink, again, the memory modules are usually badly affected, as this is relied mostly on the flow of air inside the PC case. Not a promising outlook, indeed. If put together the limited dissipation surface area and the limited flow of air, we obtain memory modules working at higher temperatures than we would usually allow in any other component, such as the video card memories. Alternatively, there are solutions available in the market to move the air around the memory modules. In this particular case, VIZO’s Armada is a triple fan cooler of 40mm each piece, joined by a support with two patented designed clips to mount it to the memory module. The Armada comes in an attractive translucent blister pack that allows a close inspection. It also includes an extra set of pads for replacement.
Once outside the blister pack, we can observe it is built in a frame that supports the three fans and a pair of mounting clips.
