Conclusions:

We are in front of one of the best thermal solution there is nowadays. The Ultra-120’s performance is outstanding. Even with an excessive voltage in the CPU, it was capable of keeping it with a delta T regarding the room temperature of barely 14º C at FULL LOAD.

The size should be taken into account since it could cause troubles in small cases. Besides, for AMD Gigabyte and DFI Lanparty motherboards a new backplate is required to change the original due to the difference in depth of the assembly screws. Luckily, Thermalright supplies those backplates, so we suggest checking the compatibility first to order right one.

The performance presented together with the design of the heat sink's fines is so remarkable that allows working with a low revolution and practically noiseless fan without any problem – which is always welcome in the workplace with the increasing noise pollution!

Advantages:

Excellent performance.

Extremely low resistance to air passage; silent running; efficient with no need of fast, high flow fans.
