Conclusions

The Arctic Fan PWM line is one of the most interesting and innovating developments we had the opportunity to test. The easy installation and usage as well as the impeccable running make this line a great choice when wanting to add fans to the PC.  At the same time, it makes us reconsider all that have been used so far to control the noise.

As in previous Arctic Cooling products, the design and building of the Arctic Fan PWM is clearly aimed at achieving a silent running, but now with an added value: the PWM Sharing Technology, which emphasizes this criterion even more and consequently, puts this line way beyond any other direct competitor.

The PST system does not require any software, as the control is carried out through the BIOS, which reduces error factors such as configuration and compatibility problems, and simple software crash. What is more, this system does not require a fan controller.

We want like to congratulate Arctic Cooling for this top quality product line and its excellent behavior. So far, Arctic Cooling has been the only company that provides this technology but, due to its outstanding performance, we are pretty sure other manufacturers will start coping it, as this line is intended to become a must-have, knocking down everything that has been used up to now.

 

Advantages

Disadvantages

In full tower PC cases, it may be necessary to add extension cords, depending on the location of some fans.
