It is deeply rooted in Argentina the idea that a water cooling system should be handcrafted to have an acceptable performance, and it is also said and believed that no manufactured component will ever match in performance a handcrafted one. This belief is not casual, since the only manufactured kits that we have seen in these lands were those of dubious performance and more interested in showing lights as well as a bright and colorful front than in the efficiency and real performance of the whole.
But luckily those options are not the only ones, since there is a small group of well known companies that, in spite of manufacturing the systems in a totally idustrialized way, take extra care of the quality of their products and give the inexperienced user something more than just a product to show off.
Danger Den is one of those few companies. With 6 years in the market, this company’s philosophy is that of ‘treat the customer just the same way we want to be treated’. Danger Den started to manufacture water blocks for the same reason that made us build our own: they were in those days initiated users that were not satisfied with the products the market offered. Convinced that they could make a better job, they began to build the Maze1. As time went by, radiators, fans,reservoirs and pumps were added to the list until Danger Den became what it is today: a company that has sold thousand of water cooling systems thanks to the satisfaction of the customers and word-of-mouth advertising.
Today we are going to analyze the MAZE 4 Into Kit. According to Danger Den, this basic kit has ‘everything you need to get started into watercooling’.
From our point of view, the kit is based on simple components that are relatively inexpensive, have a good performance and, above all, are very easy to install. It is ready to be used in a few minutes and without the need of any previous experience on this matter.
Let us start with the product presentation. The MAZE4 Intro Kit is composed of the following parts:

- Sunon 120mm Fan
- Zerex Coolant 4oz Bottle
- Arctic Silver 5 - Thermal Compound
- 7 ft of 1/2" ID Clear Flex Tubing
- 1 DDBay Reservoir High Density Polyehylene
- 10 Hose Clamps
- One 1/2" T Fitting
- One 1/2" Y Fitting
- DVD with installation instructions
All the parts have been properly packaged in a large cardboard box to protect them well during shipping. In addition to this, each part comes in its own box, so protection is fully guaranteed (we can state this after seeing how badly are packages treated at the airport or Customs Office).
