Mac and Linux Receive final POSTAL2 delivery!
Running With Scissors releases P2: Apocalypse Weekend amid anti-gaming hysteria

Tucson, AZ The rest of the gaming universe is quivering beneath claims that life simulation games are actually practice kits for child predators. The entire industry fears that "liberal" Democrats like Hillary "Madame Defarge" Clinton and crank Florida lawyer Jack Thompson will lead to even greater Government involvement in the availability of games developed for mature players.

While these witch hunters continue to search for scapegoats, Running With Scissors, the software game developer that lives, breathes and craps controversy, violence, and black humor, has blithely released the catastrophic climax to the POSTAL2 series, the single player add-on Apocalypse Weekend, for the Mac and Linux systems, whose fans have already embraced it to their underfed bosoms. The hybrid disk also runs on the PC.

"Behind the expected M-rated gore fest, Apocalypse Weekend dishes up more black humor direct from the dark hearts behind POSTAL2," declared www.macologist.org.

Asked whether he hesitated to launch on these benign platforms because of the sudden controversy swirling around video and computer games, Running With Scissors ringleader Vince Desi didn't blink. "Our Mac and Linux fans were hot as a cup of McDonald's coffee for the final installment in the POSTAL2 series. For us and our fans, the recipe has always remained the same: a twist of humor, several buckets of the old ultra-violence and a base of solid game play, served with an inevitable side order of controversy."

"Because so many politicians and self-appointed popes are either obvious opportunists or congenitally lacking in a sense of humor - and believe me, we spend as much time developing our own brand of humor as we do conceiving new weapons - they see this industry as vulnerable and so they attack it," Desi declared. "And because we at Running With Scissors don't have swollen wallets like the major publishers, we get made the scapegoats and get an 'M' rating. That's fine; we should get an 'M'. But the same outlets that carried 'M' rated GTA would pat themselves on the back because they weren't selling POSTAL2. Now, suddenly, the number one game is revealed as containing something "worse" than cop-killing, pimping or, in the case of POSTAL2, urinating on a victim - an amazingly modest Censurado scene."

Of course, the irony of the situation has not been lost on the folks at Running With Scissors. "Now that the vultures are beginning to circle the fat cats, the entire industry might finally wake up and smell the Coffee. We'll take ours black; no sugar."
